Phil is a tall, lanky, scraggly looking chap. While he prefers to spend most of his time in nature trying to more closely become one with nature, he is not adverse to talking among normal people. His path in life is simple, to be as nature wants him to be, to be the balance that mother earth intends him to be.

He wears simple clothes, carries most his worldly posessions with him, which isn't much. You will notice him with the possession of what appears to be at first glance an ordinary apple. On closer inspection you can tell that the fruit is not edible, but is in fact covered in markings and sparkling with what apears to be small gems or jewels.

Background: In development

Known powers: Well I'm sure if you spent enough time with good ol' Phil you'd notice that he tends to change into a tree every so often. If you asked him he'd tell you that the purpose of such is for him to comunicate better with, and help him become closer to nature itself.

So I've been thinking about it for awhile, and even though it's simple I like it. Here's Phil's background:

Phil grew up in the most stereotypical of the locations on this planet, one of those middle of good ol' nowhere places. But much like many societies, this town, this area to which Phil was born into was focused way to much on the material, always focused on fitting in, learning the basics, getting a job, blah blah blah. Phil of course seemed to not quite fit in, never felt comfortable doing the things that were expected of him. But of course Phil wanted something more.

He did find peace whenever he would wander into the forest down by the creak, seemed that he could just spend hours on end wandering around. You couldn't do anything helpful doing that kind of stuff in town though, only thing you could do in a forest is chop down trees and that just seemed completely barbaric to him. In fact the trees seemed really the only things that really understood him. All this time spent in the forest really unnerved the townsfolk and they pretty much shunned the poor bastard. Phil was just confined to his fate as the local town wierdo when a strange drifter came to town. He was an old man, but very travel worn and with very few possessions on his person. Immediately this man saw a potential in Phil that no one previous had and he offered him a life more suited to Phil's interest.

Long story short the man was from a druidic order, and was a leader in the council for many years before. But he found a great urge in bringing Phil into the fold and even started training Phil himself. [Insert training montage here] Even in the order, Phil still stood out, not really adapting to the wild as would be expected, wildshaping and all. Animals didn't really interest the poor guy, he never became close enough to become one with one of the woodland creatures. Phil of course had more of an affinity towards nature's plantlife. His only course of action was to join a special sect within the order itself, dedicated to the forest and plants themselve. [Insert another montage here] Finally after many failed application tests, he finally made it, and quickly rose throught the ranks of the sect, quickly passing even his mentor, the one who brought him in, in pure ability and mastery of wildshaping.

It came to the point where Phil litteraly had nothing else to learn from his small enclave. So his mentor gave him this advice: "The forest is only a small part of the world and in fact a small part of the multiverse itself. There are many things to learn about your abilities if only you were to broaden your horizons, learn more about the world itself as a whole. Then and only then can you continue on this path towards becoming one with nature, one with the forest and trees you love so dearly." Phil took this advice to heart, and started wondering much like his mentor before him.

I do suppose that he started doing mercenary stuff, as a way of sustaining himself in the world that had rejected him at first. Phil would definitely use his powers for those purposes, which I assume would be why he is now involved with the group and employer that he is now. He has only his loyalty to nature, his only goal to become closer to the trees he loves so much, and his sole reason for being out in this country to earn money so he can stay and learn everything he can about this culture of 'city folk.'
